We recognise that children's educational needs go far beyond the confines of the classroom and believe that children should have the chance to explore the world around them. That's why we look outwards to support their academic, social, physical, emotional, and cultural development through a diverse array of learning opportunities.
To this end, we offer a wide range of day trips to the many museums, galleries, and theatres that Hong Kong has to offer. Additionally, our residential trips and camps provide students with the chance to step outside their comfort zones, try new challenges, and develop essential life skills and friendships. Whether it's conquering outdoor activities or immersing themselves in different cultures, these enriching experiences foster courage, resilience, and a global mindset.
Our CWBS camp programmes highlight the positive qualities we nurture in our students and are closely aligned with our programme of inquiry. These programmes provide excellent opportunities for students to engage in new physical activities while developing cooperation and empathy outside the classroom. Our Year 4, 5 and 6 students experience outdoor adventures facilitated by external providers. Instructors from external providers guide students through a variety of activities, including river gorge walking, high ropes courses, kayaking, orienteering, surfing, and raft building. The joy and laughter on the children’s faces each day while on camp demonstrates their growth in social and self-management skills, creating unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.
But learning at Clearwater Bay School isn't limited to excursions - we also bring the world to our students through expert incursions. Recent examples include art workshops, wildlife encounters, and guest speakers, all of which ignite curiosity and expand horizons.
