Clearwater Bay School Parent Teacher Association
The CWBS Parent Teacher Association is a voluntary group of parents and teachers who meet regularly to enhance the student experience and build community. The PTA serves as a vital partnership between parents and the school, dedicated to fostering connections and cohesion. By organizing social enrichment opportunities for both parents and students, the PTA enhances the overall school experience.
The PTA exists to provide opportunities for parent involvement in the activities and general welfare of the school. Social activities enable parents to meet other parents in a friendly and casual way. The PTA organises social functions for the children; and fundraising events to support the further enhancement of the student experience in school.
Our PTA administrators provide vital support to parents and the school, running the PTA ‘Green Hub’ and continuing to champion sustainability, working alongside many of the teachers and students at the school. The Green Hub continues to provide a valuable service to families in relation to the reuse of good quality second hand uniform and secondhand books.
The PTA are very much a part of driving and also participating in CWBS community events. Family Bingo nights are a popular feature of the CWBS social calendar - with each one to date being at capacity, they have truly become a “must attend” event for our students and their families.
Annual events such as the Mid-Autumn festival celebration are well supported by the PTA, with keen parent and student volunteers taking on a range of roles at this important family occasion. The Annual Winter Fair is perhaps the most significant date on the community calendar, with families enjoying: bouncy castles, food and drink, arts and crafts, games, scavenger hunts and performances. The PTA, along with many parent, student, and alumni volunteers, play a crucial role in bringing this fantastic event to life.
The PTA also plays an important role in helping mark the important moment when our oldest students graduate from year 6 and transition to secondary school. The PTA assists with organising memorabilia, such as leavers T-shirts, and whole year group photo memories.
As a caring, connected community, our dedicated PTA plays a vital role in bringing our learning community together as we collaborate in support of our students and families.
