Updating Student Information

 

Student profile
  • On the home page, Student Profile will appear on the top left.
  • This will show the attendance for each of your children that attends the school.

  • Click on the student’s photo for more options.

  • A number of boxes will appear. Clicking on these will take you to different modules within the Gateway.
  • The options that appear will depend on the year group the student is in and the options that have been made available to parents by the school.

 

Student demographics

 

  • The Student Demographic page is split into three categories: Student Information, Family Information and Emergency Contact.
  • Student information is specific to the selected student. If you have more than one child at the school select the student from the drop down box at the top of the page.
  • If you wish to make changes to this information, click on submit change. This will lead you to the forms you completed when you first logged into the system.

  • NB changes will not be updated immediately. The Gateway administrator will approve the changes before they appear on Gateway.
  • Click on Family Information and Emergency Contact to access other information.
  • When you have finished, click Home in the navigation bar.
 
Medical Information

 

  • Click on this tab on the homepage to access the medical information form of the student and submit any changes.
 
Attendance Report

 

  • Click on this tab to see a full attendance report.

eNotice

eNotice – Permission Notes and Online Payment

Permission notes, and at times fee submission, to attend excursions and other events are available electronically on Gateway as an eNotice. Parents are notified by email to log on to Gateway to complete and submit the form. Submitting the form counts as an electronic signature giving permission for your child to participate in the event.

Login to Gateway at https://tg.esf.edu.hk

 

  • If there is any pending eNotice to sign there will be a popup reminder.

  • Click Open to launch the eNotice.

  • Fill in all the required fields and click Sign to sign and close or click Cancel to close and sign later. 
  • On the home page under the heading eNotice, all eNotices pending signature will be listed, if there are any.
  • The eNotice module link opens the full eNotice list view, which allows users to view all previous eNotices.

Teacher Run Clubs Registration

Teacher Run Clubs Registration

 

During each of the three school terms, a range of activities are offered by teachers as a club. These are in addition to the many other after school activities offered by private providers.

 

Registration for most teacher club activities is made through Gateway by parents. Parents will be notified by email regarding the registration period and the list of activities available.

 

Register for an activity

Log in to Gateway

 

  • Click Activities under the student’s photograph.

  • Select School Term to filter the activities
  • By clicking the Activity Name on the list, the activity details will be shown
  • Click Register to enroll for activities.   There may be a limit on the number of activities you can choose. Some activities are first come first served while some require approval.

To view activities you have registered for and to check the enrolment status:

  • Parents may select siblings’ name (if applicable) in Register For
 
Withdraw from an activity

To withdraw from an activity, go to My Activities, select the School Term and click withdraw next to the activity name.

Learning Conferences Booking

At CWBS, Learning Conferences provide a formal opportunity for teachers and parents to connect, share information and celebrate learning. Learning conferences are held twice a year as a parent-teacher conference in mid term 1 and as a student-led conference at the end of term 2. Parents are notified in advance of the schedule for conferences and the opening time of bookings on Gateway. Bookings are on a first come first served basis. Please make sure your Gateway login details are correct to avoid delays. If the Gateway account has not been activated this school year, please log in early to complete the student and family data verification process which may take 5 minutes or more.

 

Login Gateway (ESF App > Cahoot VLE > Go to Gateway)

 

  • When an event is open, the link Click to open or update will appear under the heading Parent Consultation (on the right side of the homepage)

  • Click on the link to launch the Parent Consultation module

  • If available, event(s) with ‘Open for Booking’ status will allow users to book or change teacher appointments. If an event is ‘closed’ or is ‘view only’, users will not be allowed to go further to book or make changes to an existing appointment.

 

Make Bookings
  • Click on an ‘Open for Booking’ event to show the booking table.

  • Step 1, if the event has more than one date, select a preferred date for your booking(s).
  • Only one time slot can be booked for each teacher.
  • The grey time slots indicate the teacher is unavailable, while the white time slots indicate the teacher is available for booking. You may change the date (if applicable) to view their availability.
  • Step 2, click on the preferred white time slot of a teacher to book. The box colour will change to purple, which indicates that the booking is confirmed, and a green tick will appear next to the teacher’s name.

  • If there is more than one teacher, you may repeat steps 1 and 2 to book other teachers.
  • A list of confirmed bookings can be found at the bottom of the page.

Please make sure to complete your bookings within the open period; no further booking/update is allowed once the booking is closed.

 

Cancel Bookings

Click on the booked teacher’s name (purple), or the purple time slot, and click OK to confirm the cancellation.

Change Bookings

The original booking slot must be cancelled first before user is allowed to click on another vacant slot.

 
View and Print Your Bookings

The Gateway homepage provides a quick view of the upcoming booking schedule, which will be removed a few days after the event finishes. In the Parent Consultation module, under All confirmed bookings, an option is available to print the schedule.
