We marked the last day of term with our cherished tradition: a guard of honor for our Year 6 students. The whole school came together for this special moment, with Year 5 forming the guard, as we celebrated this milestone.

Good luck to all our student and staff leavers! To our returning students and staff, have an amazing summer, and we’ll see you in August!

As we approach the end of term, we find ourselves bidding a heartfelt farewell to our Year 6 leavers. It has truly been a joy to have each of you as part of our school community over the past six years. Watching you learn, grow, and blossom into the independent individuals you are today has been a remarkable journey.

As you embark on the next chapter of your lives—whether that leads you to KGV, other ESF schools, or even overseas—we want you to know how proud we are of all your achievements.

We wish you nothing but the very best on your new adventures. May you carry forward the memories, friendships, and lessons learned here as you continue to explore the world and all its possibilities. We look forward to hearing about all the wonderful things that lie ahead.

During Green Week this term, CWBS began on our first Artist in Residence program me as part of a PTA Supporting the Arts initiative for our students and community. The students have created a collaborative three-dimensional dragon out of recycled uniforms.

Proudly measuring an impressive 12m in length, the next plans for this hand-woven dragon are an official awakening ceremony and a plan to parade the dragon at upcoming celebrations such as the Chinese New Year Assembly in 2026.

Well done to all the Y4-6 students and parents who contributed towards this artwork. A big thank you to our Artists in Residence Becky and Lucy Gilmour for their creativity, vision and talent.

Last week was the culmination of the Year 6's year long Exhibition journey! We began the event with a performance highlighting the Exhibition links to the expressive arts and explaining our process. Parents, community members, and students were then invited to walk around and look at our amazing exhibits and abstract art work.

Students confidently presented their research linked to the UN Global Goals and data they collected at CWBS. They then shared the huge variety of impactful action that they took in our school community over the last few months.

We are so immensely proud of our amazing Y6 students!

As part of our Sharing the Planet unit of inquiry, Year 3 students engaged in a hands-on terrarium workshop. This exciting activity allowed them to create their own miniature ecosystems and understand the balance within these environments.

Our Year 5 students hosted a successful Market Day, demonstrating their hard work and creativity. Each group took on essential roles, from planning and sourcing materials to marketing, production, sales, and accounting. The students not only learned valuable skills but also collaborated effectively to bring their ideas to life. A big thank you to our Year 3 customers, who were happy shoppers at the Market Day!

We were excited to then welcome parents to the school, where they could experience and celebrate their children's achievements firsthand. With such talent and determination on display, it’s clear we have many future entrepreneurs in the making!
